Come & See What Is Happening to the Promenade & Sea Defences at Weston-Super-Mare
The 2nd phase in the Weston seafront enhancement scheme is focussing on the promenade between Marine Lake and Royal Sands, where the entire sea wall is being strengthened and a secondary splash wall built at the most vulnerable locations. The promenade will be resurfaced and street furniture and lighting updated. Work started in August 2008,completion is expected in Spring 2010.
Programme: A guided tour by Rachel Lewis, the seafront enhancement programme manager, followed by a Question & Answer session.

Bring suitable footwear / clothing for a day at the seaside ( Bucket & spade optional) All areas to be visited are fully accessible

Shared-surface streets and home zones have been banned from new housing developments in Manchester. Belfast City Council and Matlock Town Council have also recently rejected the shared surface concept.

AGM and CPD Event: 9th June 2009
Thank you to everyone who for all your hard work in making the 2009 AGM so successful.
The venue, the organising, the CPD speakers and sponsors, (not forgetting of course the GLAs Facilities Management and Hospitality Teams) all made for what was a smooth and very enjoyable day.
